Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups (1 package) oyster crackers
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (or ½ cup vegetable oil for a dairy-free option)
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, mix together ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, and black pepper.
  • Coat the Crackers: Place the oyster crackers in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the melted butter (or oil) over them, tossing gently to coat.
  • Add Seasoning: Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the crackers, stirring well to evenly distribute the flavors.
  • Bake: Spread the crackers in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  • Cool & Serve: Let the crackers cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

  • For extra crunch: Bake for an additional 5 minutes for a deeper golden color.
  • Spicy variation: Add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • Herb substitutions: Swap dill and parsley for Italian seasoning for a different flavor twist.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for longer freshness.
