Description

This Berry & Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Danish is a flaky, buttery, and sweet breakfast treat! Filled with creamy vanilla-infused cream cheese and juicy berries, these easy-to-make pastries are perfect for weekend brunch, holidays, or a quick morning indulgence.

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven & Prep Pastry:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 squares.

2️⃣ Make the Filling:

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • In another bowl, toss berries with lemon juice and honey.

3️⃣ Assemble the Danish:

  • Place 1 tbsp of cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  • Top with a spoonful of berries.
  • Fold the edges slightly inward or leave them open for a rustic look.

4️⃣ Egg Wash & Bake:

  • Beat the egg and brush it on the edges of the pastry for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:

  • Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm!
