- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven & Prep Pastry:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 squares.
2️⃣ Make the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, toss berries with lemon juice and honey.
3️⃣ Assemble the Danish:
- Place 1 tbsp of cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Top with a spoonful of berries.
- Fold the edges slightly inward or leave them open for a rustic look.
4️⃣ Egg Wash & Bake:
- Beat the egg and brush it on the edges of the pastry for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm!
